The use of QRIS for daily transactions is now increasingly being used by the public because it is easy and fast. The increasingly massive use of QRIS must also be accompanied by caution in making transactions using QRIS so that transactions remain safe and comfortable.
You can read some of the following tips on using QRIS so that your transactions remain safe and more comfortable.
-
Ensure the reasonableness of the QRIS installation location
Before scanning a QRIS, you must ensure that the QRIS is installed in a reasonable location and that the QRIS is genuine or not covered by other QRIS that do not match the merchant's name.
If you feel suspicious because QRIS is installed in an unusual location outside the shop/merchant area or a QRIS that looks inappropriate, you better make sure that the QRIS really belongs to that shop/merchant.
-
Make sure the name of the QRIS destination matches the merchant's name that appears on the cellphone screen when scanning the QRIS
Before paying with QRIS, you must make sure the merchant's name that appears on the mobile screen is the same as the merchant's name on the QRIS logo. It could be the merchant's name that appears on the cellphone does not match the merchant's name on the installed QRIS logo because you scanned it incorrectly, or the QRIS logo on the merchant has been replaced by an irresponsible party for the purpose of their personal gain.
If the name that appears on the cellphone does not match, you can confirm directly with the merchant to confirm the compatibility of the QRIS name on the cellphone with the QRIS sticker at the merchant.
-
Ensuring conformity of the nominal and notification of successful transactions
After the process of paying using QRIS is complete, you also need to check again that the transaction notification is in accordance with the nominal you should have paid. If there is a discrepancy in the transaction nominal, such as overpayment or underpayment, you can contact the merchant to take care of the overpayment or underpayment.
-
Complain to the QRIS organizer (PJP) if you find a difference in the merchant's name or nominal
The ease of use of QRIS is currently also used by certain parties for modes of crime, such as changing QRIS. If you find a discrepancy between the merchant's name and the nominal due to the crime mode, you can complain to the relevant Payment Service Provider (PJP).
